If you plan to attend the Bluebonnet Zone Spring gathering in Brenham on May 2, please RSVP to Sally Blum by text or call. The deadline to RSVP is this Saturday, April 25. Those attending will coordinate traveling together.

Join us May 4, at 6:30 PM for our May Salad Supper in the Parish Hall. Please bring your favorite salad, dish, or dessert to share.

Mites (coins, cash, checks) will be collected April 25 & 26 at all worship services. All Mite monies collected here and at other LCMS churches fund 47 mission grants that will help in Texas, the US, and around the world. One funded grant is described below:

Lutheran Heritage Foundation (LHF) — $100,000 — Introducing Muslims to the Savior. LHF supports the mission of the church — bringing Christ to the lost so that, through the Holy Spirit and the Word, they may believe in Christ their Savior. For over 30 years, LHF has been extending the ministry of God’s Word by translating and publishing Lutheran books that help explain the Bible. They have translated and published more than 1,500 titles in over 150 languages, which have been distributed at no cost to churches, pastors, individuals, and missionaries. About a quarter of the world’s population — over 1.9 billion — identify as Muslim. They are living in spiritual darkness and starving for the love of Jesus Christ.

This grant will fund publication of over 20,000 Lutheran books, like the Small Catechism, A Child’s Garden of Bible Stories, and devotions translated into the Arabic, Farsi, Bahasa Indonesian, and Kazakh languages that will be distributed in the United States and worldwide.

Merciful God, whose love reaches every nation and people, we pray for Muslims around the world to hear and receive the good news of Jesus. Soften hearts, open minds, and prepare the way for Your Word to be welcomed with joy. Bless those who share Christ’s love with wisdom, compassion, and humility. Protect believers who witness in difficult places, and surround seekers with Your peace. By the power of the Holy Spirit, reveal Jesus as Savior, Redeemer, and Lord. May many come to know His grace, His forgiveness, and His life-giving hope. Draw all people to Yourself. Amen.
