DESCRIPTION:This service is still being held but it is no longer mask free.  \nThe first Saturday of every month\, masks are required at the Traditional service. This is to allow those who do not feel comfortable attending regular Bethel services at this time to come participate in communion and attend church in-person. All worshippers will be asked to maintain their masks throughout this once-a-month service.  \n“The Board of Elders is continuing to monitor the presence of COVID-19 in our community on a weekly basis. Our current policy includes the wearing of masks by anyone who is uncomfortable not doing so and our first Saturday of the month is a mask-required service. We are not currently practicing social distancing. However\, we ask that everyone respects the concerns of those who do wear a mask by maintaining an appropriate social distance unless they indicate otherwise. Because of the low attendance numbers at our Saturday service\, it is easy for those attending to social distance if they feel the need to do so.”

DESCRIPTION:Worship with Communion will be held at noon and 6:45. \nAshes will be offered at the front of our sanctuary at 11:30 AM and at 6 PM before each service. “Imposition of Ashes” is simply the marking of the forehead with palm ashes. \nThe imposition of ashes on the forehead of the worshipper signifies that a period of prayer\, fasting\, and “sitting in sackcloth and ashes” has begun. \nWe especially encourage parents to bring your children as the marking of the ashes offers you a wonderful teachable moment. \nChildcare will be available during the 6:45 service and will be available upon request at the noon service.

DESCRIPTION:This week Bethel\, along with thousands of churches nationwide\, recognize “SOUP-ER BOWL OF CARING SUNDAY.” On a Sunday when Americans will celebrate football\, and eat and drink and enjoy great parties\, we ask for your pocket change to support our local foodbank. Started by a youth group in 1990\, we will take a door offering for the foodbank we are partnered with\, The Brazos Church Pantry. Every penny we collect this weekend will go to them for the purchase of food for our neighbors in BCS.

The session will take approximately 10 minutes and will include several poses. Family information for the directory will be taken from information provided during the online scheduling\, so please ensure your information is correct when you sign up. After your session\, you will be asked to schedule a Zoom meeting for a later date. DESCRIPTION:BETHEL DAY OF PRAYER\n \nWe ask you to take some time on Sunday the 1st to join us in coming to our merciful God in prayer.\nTHIS WILL BE HELD AT BETHEL\, SUNDAY\, NOVEMBER 1\, STARTING IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE LATE SERVICE UNTIL 4 PM.\nA Prayer Guide will be available for you to use.  It will include prayers for our nation and our church as well as other prayer concerns you might have. (If you want to stay and pray immediately after the late service you may get the Prayer Guide and go to the Prayer Garden.   In about 10 minutes after the service the sanctuary will have been disinfected and you can use it for prayer).\nAs a part of God’s chosen people\, you are invited to take part in this Bethel Day of Prayer.  (This is a “come and go” event – just take the time you personally need to go through the Prayer Guide).\nTo say that prayers are needed for our nation is almost an understatement.   As St. Paul tells us in the passage from 1 Timothy\, it is good and right that we offer such prayers.\n1 Timothy 2:1-2 – I urge\, then\, first of all\, that petitions\, prayers\, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—  for kings and all those in authority\, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.\nWe hope that you can join us in prayer on November 1st at Bethel.
