DESCRIPTION:On November 8\, 9\, &10 Bethel will gather to consider where our Lord is leading us. \nPlease registration here for November 8\, 9\, & 10 attendance. \nThere are dozens of ideas floating around our congregation as to “what’s next?” Included are ideas such as building\, starting a parochial school\, planting a mission congregation\, expanding our preschool both in total students and to “year-round. “And so while there are dozens of excellent ideas about\nwhat Bethel attempts next\, it is prudent to gather and think and pray and converse about where the Lord is actually leading our church. In preparation for this weekend\, Pr. Bard has been conducting “family visits” among our elected leaders\, and the time has come to invite those who are not currently in a leadership position to come and visit with him. The visits are in our parlor\, last about an hour\, and address three questions\, “Where does Bethel excel?” Where can Bethel improve?” & Where do you feel our Lord is leading our congregation. “This opportunity is open to any member or interested family. There is a physical sign up in the narthex to the right of the office hallway door. Current appointments run from September 24th to October 16th . More dates and times will be posted at the beginning of October as we seek God’s face and direction. May He bless us in this work!

Older students are encouraged to volunteer and assist where they are able to serve. \nBethel’s VBS seeks to develop community among all age groups.  Therefore\, once we have set our groups for children we will not change or move students to different group. If you have a friend that your student would like to share the VBS experience with you will have opportunity to enter that name at registration. DESCRIPTION:This service is still being held but it is no longer mask free.  \nThe first Saturday of every month\, masks are required at the Traditional service. This is to allow those who do not feel comfortable attending regular Bethel services at this time to come participate in communion and attend church in-person. All worshippers will be asked to maintain their masks throughout this once-a-month service.  \n“The Board of Elders is continuing to monitor the presence of COVID-19 in our community on a weekly basis. Our current policy includes the wearing of masks by anyone who is uncomfortable not doing so and our first Saturday of the month is a mask-required service. We are not currently practicing social distancing. However\, we ask that everyone respects the concerns of those who do wear a mask by maintaining an appropriate social distance unless they indicate otherwise. Because of the low attendance numbers at our Saturday service\, it is easy for those attending to social distance if they feel the need to do so.”

DESCRIPTION:Worship with Communion will be held at noon and 6:45. \nAshes will be offered at the front of our sanctuary at 11:30 AM and at 6 PM before each service. “Imposition of Ashes” is simply the marking of the forehead with palm ashes. \nThe imposition of ashes on the forehead of the worshipper signifies that a period of prayer\, fasting\, and “sitting in sackcloth and ashes” has begun. \nWe especially encourage parents to bring your children as the marking of the ashes offers you a wonderful teachable moment. \nChildcare will be available during the 6:45 service and will be available upon request at the noon service.

Please make your appointment for your no-cost professional photography session today! Every family photographed will receive a free printed directory and 8×10 portrait. \n  \nDates will be Monday-Friday the week of October 18th-22nd. \nAppointments times each day are from 2:00pm to 8:30pm. \nSchedule your appointment here. \n  \nDay of Photo Session: Please arrive at Bethel at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment start time. The session will take approximately 10 minutes and will include several poses. Family information for the directory will be taken from information provided during the online scheduling\, so please ensure your information is correct when you sign up. After your session\, you will be asked to schedule a Zoom meeting for a later date. During the Zoom meeting\, you will be able to see your proofs\, select your free 8×10 photo (the one used for the directory)\, and have the opportunity to purchase any extra portraits for family and friends.
