DESCRIPTION:Join us for Worship with Communion at Noon or 6:45 PM for Maundy Thursday. \nMaundy Thursday centers on the Lord’s Supper and how Jesus’ last supper promises hope in the midst of sorrow. We will celebrate Holy Communion together at both the noon and 6:45 p.m. services\, concluding worship with the reading of the walk to the Garden of Gethsemane and the approach of the crowd led by Judas. In the Maundy Thursday evening service after this final reading the altar is striped and every decoration removed from the chancel [area around the altar]. This is an extremely moving event as we realize that our Lord’s suffering is reflected in the removal of our banners\, candles\, and Communion ware.

DESCRIPTION:God Bless Our Lenten Time The Church Season of Lent offers the Christian an opportunity for a special encounter with ourselves and with Jesus. It’s purpose is to lead to repentance and renewed trust in Him. This is good\, since repentance and renewed faith are vital as we prepare to receive the Good News which Holy Week and Easter will bring us. Accordingly\, we seek this self- examination which comes through the application of the Word of God to our hearts and lives. We allow that Word to show us our sinful condition and need. God’s Gospel offers us God’s plan to remove our sin: “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” John 1:29. It also works to empower us to live our lives for Him and with Him. It is in the Word that God speaks to is of His gracious forgiveness. It is in the Word He calls us to Himself. It is in His Word we hear most clearly every promise. Listen to the Word and make this the most blessed Lenten season yet. \nLenten Devotions are services held every Wednesday during Lent\, February 18th\, 25th & March 4th\, 11th\, 18th\, 25th. \nWe begin the Lenten Devotions each Wednesday at noon & 6:45pm. We will have a meal that starts at 5:15pm.  The cost of the meal is $5 per person or $20 for a family. \nMeal Plan: \nMar. 25- Pot Roast\, Mashed Potatoes\, Green Beans\, Rolls & Applesauce

It is a very simple service held in the east end of our parking lot. Our focus at Easter Dawn is the stunning miracle of Christ’s resurrection and what it was like for the women to find the empty tomb. We do celebrate the Lord’s Supper outside and at the conclusion of the SonRise service we exit to the parish hall for Easter breakfast. \nSonRise Breakfast:\nAll Bethel members and visitors are invited to share the joy of the Risen Lord together at our annual Easter Breakfast. Everyone is encouraged to stay for a delicious breakfast and great fellowship following the Sonrise Worship Service. Coffee and juice will be provided. We will direct the children from the classroom to their egg hunting location. \nThe Resurrection of Our Lord Celebration Service:\nThis service begins in darkness. After the reading of the resurrection story\, the altar is redecorated with banners\, lilies\, and the Lord’s Supper is brought in procession. The focus of the Celebration service is the impact of Christ’s resurrection in our lives. The music at Easter Celebration is the very best we enjoy all year\, as our music staff pulls out all the stops that day. We also conclude this service by celebrating the Lord’s Supper and singing “At the Lamb’s High Feast We Sing!” Our Easter morning services are very different\, both having different hymns and different readings and sermons. If you have ever been inclined to have “too much church\,” Easter Sunday is the day! \n  \n  \n  \nRecipes:\nLARGE EASY BREAKFAST CASSEROLE (A Church Favorite)\nThis may be made on Saturday and put into the refrigerator until Sunday.\nPlace one bag frozen tater-tots or hash brown in the bottom of an un-greased 13×9 cake pan. Top with 10-12 cooked eggs\n(scrambled\, boiled\, or diced.).\nTop eggs with one of the following:\n1 lb. bacon crisp and crumbled\,\n1 lb. sausage fried (scrambled if pan sausage\, chopped if link sausage)\n2-3 cups chopped ham\nTop meat with cheese sauce: Mix 5 Tbs. Flour with 5 Tbs. Melted butter. Add 2 cups milk and heat\, stirring frequently\nuntil thickened. Add one of the following:\n½ lb. Velveeta (that’s ¼ of a 2 lb. package.)\n2-3 grated cups of your favorite cheese (Cheddar\, Swiss\, etc.)\nStir until cheese is melted. Place casserole\, uncovered\, in a 350 degrees oven for 25-35 minutes or until cheese begins to\nbubble and is slightly brown on the edges. (May add onion\, bell pepper\, chili peppers\, mushrooms) \nOVEN BREAKFAST\n16 eggs 2 cups milk\n1 tsp. salt 1 ½ T. minced onion\n6 oz. pkg. sliced ham (diced) 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese\nHeat oven to 325 degrees. Beat eggs\, milk\, and salt. Stir in ham\, cheese\, and onion. Pour into buttered 9×13 glass pan.\nBake 40-50 minutes or until golden. Brown. Great! \nSAUSAGE CASSEROLE\n8 slices white bread (remove crust & cube) ¾ pound grated long horn cheese\n4 eggs 1 ½ pounds link sausage (fried/cut up)\n¾ tsp. prepared mustard 2 ½ cups of milk\n1 can cream/mushroom soup ¼ tsp. Salt with a little milk (¼ c. or less)\n4 oz. drained mushrooms\nMix bread\, cheese\, and sausage – put in dish. Mix eggs\, milk\, mustard\, and salt -pour over first layer. Refrigerate overnight. Mix soup\, mushrooms\, and milk. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 ½ hours. \nEGG AND HAM BRUNCH\n7-8 slices (cubed bread) 1 pound precooked ham (cubed)\n1 ½ pound grated cheese 5 eggs\n2 cups milk 1 tsp. mustard\n1 tsp. salt ⅓ cup margarine\nPlace bread cubes in bottom of a liberally greased 9×13 pan. Layer ham and cheese cubes over bread. Beat eggs well.\nAdd milk\, mustard\, and salt to eggs; pour this over bread\, ham\, and cheese. Melt margarine and pour over the top. Cover\nand refrigerate overnight. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees. Serves 10-12 people.]

DESCRIPTION:On November 8\, 9\, &10 Bethel will gather to consider where our Lord is leading us. \nPlease registration here for November 8\, 9\, & 10 attendance. \nThere are dozens of ideas floating around our congregation as to “what’s next?” Included are ideas such as building\, starting a parochial school\, planting a mission congregation\, expanding our preschool both in total students and to “year-round. “And so while there are dozens of excellent ideas about\nwhat Bethel attempts next\, it is prudent to gather and think and pray and converse about where the Lord is actually leading our church. In preparation for this weekend\, Pr. Bard has been conducting “family visits” among our elected leaders\, and the time has come to invite those who are not currently in a leadership position to come and visit with him. The visits are in our parlor\, last about an hour\, and address three questions\, “Where does Bethel excel?” Where can Bethel improve?” & Where do you feel our Lord is leading our congregation. “This opportunity is open to any member or interested family. There is a physical sign up in the narthex to the right of the office hallway door. Current appointments run from September 24th to October 16th . More dates and times will be posted at the beginning of October as we seek God’s face and direction. May He bless us in this work!

This is a great opportunity for our church community to connect\, not only with our Preschool families\, but first responders’ families\, & our 1 John 3 Ministry families in a fun and family-friendly occasion. What a great opportunity to serve even more people in our community! \nOur goal is to provide an event where kids can dress up\, play games\, and participate in a Trick or Treating activity in the safety of our campus. We will have carnival games\, bounce house\, food\, photo-ops and fellowship time for families of our church and community to visit and get to know each other better.
